“Valencia, you stole my heart! We will definitely come back!”
During our Workation in Valencia — more than perfectly arranged by theWorkationers — we had an unforgettable experience that far exceeded my expectations. As a 25-year-old marketing executive, I am extremely grateful for this opportunity that our great company, 12linkme, offered to me and my colleague to explore the international possibilities of our 12linkme Review Boost solutions abroad. In the meantime, we had to continue to provide regular sales and marketing support from our new work location. Well, that certainly wasn't a punishment!
We stayed in a wonderfully atmospheric apartment in the bustling heart of El Carmen, complete with a lift, air conditioning, home office, and all the modern amenities we could wish for. The location was great, a stone's throw from the central station and with the option to safely store our bicycles. The high-speed internet allowed us to work seamlessly while enjoying everything this amazing metropolis had to offer.
Our working days usually started nice and early with an invigorating bike ride through the beautiful green Turia Park. It was great to cruise along the riverbed every morning and discover the city. That gave us the energy and inspiration to work with full energy later.
A typical working day in Valencia was a perfect balance between work and play. We had the freedom to organise our own day, but at the same time, it was super easy to schedule meetings with our sales colleagues because we were in the same time zone. That made the collaboration seamless and efficient. Nobody missed us in North Limburg...😉
Valencia has so much to offer, and we enjoyed it to the max. We delved into the culinary scene of Ruzafa using the delicious tips from our own Workationer expert, Lieve, finding super-cosy restaurants where we enjoyed the special atmosphere, could taste the tastiest local dishes and discovered real Spanish cuisine.
The beach life was great too! The unique thing about Valencia is that the beach is within cycling distance. That gave us the chance to relax after work and enjoy the sun and the wonderful Spanish atmosphere.
And let's not forget about the beautiful nature around Valencia! We went on hikes and a mountain bike tour in the nearby nature reserves, such as Sierra Calderona and Albufera, where we could relax in the mountains and enjoy being surrounded by waterfalls, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
But what really made this Workation special was exploring the creative neighbourhoods of Valencia, such as Ruzafa and El Carmen, where we met new people through theWorkationers, who also gave us access to local small business networks. We benefited greatly from that and were impressed at how easy it was to make new contacts!

In short, our Workation in Valencia was a unique experience that not only stimulated our creativity but also took us out of the rut of daily (work) life. We explored new horizons, both professionally and personally, and I am extremely grateful to my 12linkme management for this opportunity. Fortunately, they were so enthusiastic about our work that our sales department has also been allowed to pioneer in Valencia. We are now the demigods of the company. 😉
This Workation has shown me that there are no limits to what you can achieve internationally and personally, especially if we consider the world as our workplace. Valencia, you stole my heart! We will definitely come back! 🌞🚴♀️🌴
