Our recent Workation in Málaga was an absolute success! Known for its sunshine, culture and warm hospitality, the city offered the perfect setting for an experience that was both productive and wonderfully relaxing.
The accommodation ticked all the right boxes. A spacious workspace for two, fast Wi-Fi and sea views made it easy to stay on top of work. And as it turns out, working with the sound of the waves in the background can be surprisingly inspiring. 😊
But what really made the difference was everything around it. Meeting locals, carefully selected restaurants and Experiences that take you out of your everyday routine. One great example is the Caminito del Rey: a spectacular hiking trail through the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, partly crossing walkways suspended around 100 metres above the gorge. Exactly the kind of experience that clears your mind and gives you fresh energy.
Add a gentle sea breeze, great food and a work rhythm that genuinely suits you, and every day starts to feel different.

Málaga worked for us exactly the way a Workation should.
Besides working, there were plenty of relaxation options. For example, a walking tour through the historic city centre was organised, we enjoyed evenings out with fellow Workationers in the city, and our morning workouts on the beach with personal trainer Cristian were both challenging, refreshing — and sometimes tiring, haha! At the same time, it gave us so much new energy. We can definitely recommend taking on this challenge.
A special highlight was the local restaurants recommended to us by Lieve from theWorkationers. Thanks to these tips, we tasted delicious, authentic Spanish dishes in charming eateries that we would otherwise never visit. These culinary explorations added an extra dimension to our experience in Málaga.

In short, our Workation was the perfect combination of productive work, cultural enrichment, culinary surprises and relaxation. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to combine work and enjoyment in a beautiful environment!
